(2) Personal data that we process

Astera Babywearing processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself through contact with Astera Babywearing and its website. We collect and process personal information including, but not limited to, your name and contact details, in order to contact you and carry out our services.

If you sign up to one of our services, Astera Babywearing also processes special data relating to persons under the age of 16. This will only be processed with parental or guardian consent, i.e. the information you provide about your child when receiving individualised babywearing support, and only the information necessary to provide our services will be collected and processed.

We do not store any sensitive personal information about you that is irrelevant to the services that we provide.

(3) Data retention and storage

Astera Babywearing does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected, i.e.

for the duration of the contract
for the period necessary to document the contract or service performed, including the invoice. The data is stored for 7 years from the end of the calendar year in which the tax payment deadline expired in line with legal requirements
until the consent is withdrawn, if the data processing is based on the consent of the data subject

Your sensitive personal data, such as information about you and your children, ages, sizes, medical conditions relevant to babywearing etc, will not be stored longer than strictly necessary. I retain this for a period of three months to allow for follow up support to be given if necessary and then permanently delete it, retaining just the contracts and necessary information for tax purposes as outlined above. If you wish for sensitive personal data to be deleted immediately following a consultation then please let me know and I will honour this, but know that if you get back in contact and require follow up support you may need to provide it again to enable me to support you fully.

(4) Third parties

Astera Babywearing does not share with, or sell, your information to third parties, without your explicit consent.

I do use some third party service providers for data storage to support my work. Your data is therefore also subject to their privacy policies, so I suggest you familiarise yourself with these. These service providers are as follows:

Gmail - This is the email service I use for my business emails. I (Kristina Hall) am the only person who has access to this account, and it is protected by two factor authentication, and only accessed on one password protected laptop and one password protected phone, both owned and only accessed by me.

Google Drive/Google Forms - I store all business documents and client information on a google drive connected to my business email account. I (Kristina Hall) am the only person who has access to this account, and it is protected by two factor authentication, and only accessed on one password protected laptop and one password protected phone, both owned and only accessed by me.

WhatsApp – I may communicate with clients via WhatsApp if this is their preferred method of contact.

Wix – My website is hosted by Wix, which may process limited personal data (such as contact form submissions or technical data) in order for the website to function.

(5) Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferred settings. We can also use this to optimize our website.

You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information previously saved via the settings of your browser.
